Life is filled with challenging transitions which can manifest as depression, anxiety, anger or substance use/misuse. It also provides innumerable opportunities for success and fulfillment by overcoming these challenges through mindful resilience. I view my clients through a Humanistic lens; emphasizing unconditional positive regard to establish an authentic and respectful connection. I strive to meet the client “where they are” and provide the appropriate treatment modality. This approach establishes the basis for focusing on the client, and not the symptoms. Some of the methods I employ include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic interventions such as Object Relations Theory, Attachment Theory, Self-Psychology, Grief Work, as well as Motivational Interviewing. Additionally, I have worked for a Suicide Prevention/Intervention Hot Line and hold a training certification on crisis intervention. I hold a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Psychology from Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont California. Some of my major course work included Group Therapy, Couples Counseling, Psychopathology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Principles of Marriage and Family Therapy, and an emphasis on Gerontological Health. I am licensed in both California and Oregon. As a licensee of the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists, I abide by its Code of Ethics. To maintain my license, I am required to take continuing education classes which are relevant to my profession. Fees for my private practice are $200.00 an hour for individual; $250.00 hour for couples and families. Sliding scale provided on a case-by-case basis. While I am not affiliated with any insurance panels, I will provide a super bill for the client to submit. Please call or email me for a free 15 minute consultation.
