Introduction

Danielle is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Iowa. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Iowa in 2019 and her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Iowa in 2023. During her professional training, Danielle worked with individuals across a variety of care settings, including emergency room and inpatient mental health treatment, school based therapy and shelter services for teens. These experiences helped her discover her passion for working with teens and adults in all of life’s circumstances. Danielle’s goal as a therapist is to help you feel seen and heard wherever you are in your journey. She believes each individual's story is both powerful and unique. Danielle strives to provide a warm, welcoming environment where each client feels safe to process any of life's struggles. She is an active therapist that offers tools, action plans and homework based upon each client’s needs, but is also happy just listening and providing support. She uses various evidence based approaches, including cognitive behavioral, solution focused, adlerian and person-centered techniques. Danielle’s clinical focus includes, but is not limited to: anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, trauma, low self-esteem, LGBTQ+, grief/loss, communication issues, life transitions, stress management, co-dependency, and relationship issues. When she’s not working, Danielle enjoys spending time with her husband, son and their two cats. She loves to try new foods and explore new places, but also finds value in curling up on the couch with a Frieda McFadden book. Danielle is also passionate about volunteering with the Ronald McDonald House.
