Introduction

Danielle Overton-Miller, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care through a collaborative and patient-centered approach. She believes in creating a supportive, judgment-free environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their mental health journey. Danielle specializes in the evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management of ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, insomnia, and other common psychiatric conditions. She develops individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique goals, lifestyle, and needs while incorporating the latest evidence-based practices. She provides virtual psychiatric care for adults throughout New York and Connecticut, making high-quality mental health care convenient and accessible. Danielle earned her Master of Science in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from D’Youville University and is committed to helping patients achieve lasting wellness and improved quality of life. My approach to care is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I believe the best outcomes come from building a strong therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, respected, and involved in every treatment decision. During our visits, I take time to understand your symptoms, personal history, lifestyle, and goals so we can create a treatment plan that fits your unique needs. I use evidence-based practices and the latest clinical guidelines while recognizing that no two individuals are the same. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, or another mental health concern, my goal is to help you gain symptom relief, improve your quality of life, and develop long-term strategies for wellness. I strive to provide a supportive, judgment-free environment where you can feel comfortable asking questions, discussing concerns, and taking an active role in your mental health journey. Your first appointment is focused on getting to know you, not just your symptoms. We’ll discuss what brought you in, your medical and mental health history, your current concerns, previous treatments, and your goals for care. I’ll take the time to answer your questions, explain my recommendations, and ensure you understand all of your treatment options. By the end of the visit, you’ll have a clear understanding of my initial assessment, a personalized treatment plan, and the next steps in your care. If medication is appropriate, we’ll discuss the benefits, risks, and alternatives so you can make informed decisions. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and confident about your path forward.
