Hello! My name is Danna Dahl, and I'm so glad you've stopped to read my profile. I know that reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step—especially if you're used to handling things on your own or aren't sure what to expect. One of my primary goals when I meet a new client is to help them feel safe, seen, heard, and understood. In our first session, I'll spend time listening to your story, learning what brought you to therapy, and beginning to identify goals that will guide our work together. From there, I'll develop a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and the changes you'd like to see in your life. When working with clients, I rely heavily on a systems perspective, which recognizes the impact that family, school, work, relationships, and other areas of life can have on mental health and daily functioning. I also utilize Solution-Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Rather than spending all of our time focused on problems, these approaches help clients identify their strengths, clarify what matters most to them, and develop practical tools for handling difficult thoughts and emotions. Together, we work toward creating meaningful change and building a life that feels more aligned with your values and goals. No matter what brings you to counseling, you don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. Therapy is a collaborative process, and my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself, asking hard questions, and working toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you. Whether you're facing anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, you don't have to navigate it alone. If you're ready to take the next step, I would be honored to walk alongside you and support you in creating the life you want to live. I would love the opportunity to meet you, hear your story, and help you move toward greater hope, healing, and lasting change.
