My name is Darien Peña, and I am a licensed professional counselor associate, under the supervision of Chelsey Kinney, LPC-S. I earned my Masters of Arts in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2024 and now work with the counseling practice A Season For, PLLC. I have worked with children, teens, and adults in both individual and group settings. I have experience with clients facing various challenges, such as anxiety, depression, grief, family and relational stress, and life transitions. I am committed to keeping a clear perspective of my clients’ needs and am ready to apply my skills in new situations through continued learning and consultation. My counseling approach is primarily shaped by person-centered and family systems therapies. This means that my priority is cultivating a warm, accepting counselor-client relationship where you can find encouragement and resources to gain insight and take steps toward health and hope. One of those resources is family systems therapy, which establishes an organized understanding of your family of origin. This powerful process brings clarifying context to your change process. If it is your desire to have an explicitly Christian counseling experience, I’m eager to submit our sessions to the Holy Spirit’s direction and allow our time to be shaped by the historic teachings of Christ and His church. Additionally, be assured that as a believer, I will be in prayerful reflection throughout our relationship and trust that the Holy Spirit will be working and present.
