Introduction

I’m Darlene Parker, AMFT, a Nashville-based counselor who helps adults and couples create real, lasting change. I'm trained in Brainspotting Therapy for trauma, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, CBT and Premarital Counseling to support healing, clarity, and stronger connection. My approach is warm, practical, and action-oriented—focused on shifting patterns, not just talking about them. I help clients move through overwhelm, improve communication, and rebuild trust in themselves and their relationships. Above all, I offer a hopeful, grounded space where people can grow, reconnect, and feel more like themselves again. A little about me: I'm originally from the Pittsburgh area and graduated from Pitt and Duquesne Universities with a focus on psychology and education. I received my second masters in counseling from Trevecca University have over 20 years of experience working with students and faculty in medical education designed to enhance patient centered interpersonal skills through deliberate practice. Through this work I have learned how hard we are on ourselves and the importance of self-compassion. I offer most weekday late afternoons and Saturdays. I do not accept insurance but offer a sliding scale based on income/need and provide superbills for reimbursement. Reach out for a free 15 minute consultation to see if we might be a good fit.
