I understand what it’s like when something that once helped you survive doesn’t know the fight is over. When I got out of the Army, I thought, “Nothing is wrong with me. I just can’t shut the damn thing off.” Years later, I finally understood what that “thing” was. I’m an Army combat Veteran and trauma therapist working with Veterans, First Responders, and Civilians carrying trauma, PTSD, moral injury, anger, anxiety, depression, or addiction. Our work doesn’t begin with me telling you what your life means—or expecting you to explain your world to me. We start with what’s happening now, figure out what’s driving it, and discover what helps you move forward.
