I believe in the power of authenticity, both with others and with ourselves. I am a licensed professional counselor who believes we all need support in different seasons of our lives, and it's never too late to learn new skills or make meaningful change. I specifically value working with individuals in that vulnerable place of life transitions; where your world gets rocked, good or bad, by something that impacts how you manage day to day life. Maybe it's the transition of high school to college, or college into the work force. Perhaps after a car accident you have anxiety and don't feel like yourself anymore as you plan your life around driving. Maybe you have lost someone or something dear to you, and you need to navigate a new and overwhelming grief. Or maybe you've split from a partner, or an important relationship and you don't know what to do with yourself. And maybe any of these transitions in your life have brought up things from your past that are affecting you more than you realized or know how to process. I work from a trauma-informed eclectic approach to cater to each individual's specific needs. Whether it's a more structured approach of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), the reflective, inner approach of Internal Family Systems (IFS), or you want to simply understand yourself better by getting to know your nervous system (Polyvagal Theory), I would love to help you get through this time with a better sense of your self and ability to manage.
