Introduction

Hi! I'm Deanna. As a therapist, I have the great privilege of spending my day connecting with other humans. I have been a therapist in private practice for over 15 years and have worked in the mental health field for over 20 years. I have been teaching yoga since 2019. I enjoy working with adults who are motivated to find new and more productive ways to move through challenging life transitions, move towards personal growth goals, manage parenting stressors, relationship stressors, and/or work stressors, and decrease symptoms of anxiety, depression, and anger. I have extensive training in anxiety management, mindfulness and breathwork, integrative health, and parenting (including fostering and foster to adopt). Additionally, I have completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. SERVICES OFFERED: INDIVIDUAL AND COUPLES THERAPY- Telehealth sessions- offered virtually to clients throughout the state of Texas In-person sessions- offered at my office in Austin near Dripping Springs Walk-And-Talk sessions- offered in Austin, Dripping Springs, and Bee Cave SAFE AND SOUND PROTOCOL- The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is an evidence-based listening therapy designed to reduce sound sensitivities and improve auditory processing, behavioral state regulation, and social engagement behaviors through filtered music. The SSP involves listening to specially filtered music through headphones alongside a provider, in-person or remotely. Suitable for children and adults, the SSP has demonstrated benefits for individuals with trauma, anxiety, sensory processing differences and more. Highlights of the SSP: ● A five-hour auditory intervention developed and patented by Dr. Stephen Porges, author of the Polyvagal Theory. ● Designed to reduce sound sensitivity, and improve auditory processing and behavioral state regulation. ● Activates the client’s social engagement system, helping to accelerate and enhance therapeutic outcomes. ● Supports physiological state regulation, allowing for greater resilience.
