Introduction

I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate who takes a holistic, trauma-informed, and compassionate approach to therapy. I support clients navigating challenges, specializing in anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, addiction, chronic illness, and major life transitions. I understand that reaching out for support is a deeply courageous step, especially during times of uncertainty, transition, or emotional pain. You don’t have to walk this path alone. I offer a safe, supportive space in Fuquay-Varina where all are welcome. My self pay sessions are $145 per session and can be done in-person and virtually. I accept Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield as well. I also offer sliding scale to make therapy accessible to all. Please do not hesitate to email me at deanne@dc-psychotherapy.com, or use the contact link above for more info. My style is eclectic and person-centered. I blend evidence-based psychotherapies including EMDR, Brainspotting, CBT, DBT, Psychoanalysis, and ACT treatment, with mind-body techniques such as somatic awareness, and sound-based mindfulness. I also have a PhD in Communication with a focus on communication research within the context of mental health narratives. This integrative style allows us to work not only with your thoughts, emotions, and shedding unwanted communication behaviors and core beliefs, but also how you might somatically process experiences. My intention is to help you discover new ways of connecting to yourself, finding balance, creating meaning, and communicating your values and boundaries even in the midst of change or difficulty.
