Finding a therapist who understands the challenges you are facing—and who offers unconditional positive support, compassion, and guidance—can make an important difference in your healing journey. I have worked in the addictions field since 1991 and have found throughout my career that addiction and mental health concerns often go hand in hand. With more than 40 years in recovery, I also bring personal experience and understanding of the challenges that can arise when choosing a healthier and more fulfilling life. I am a Co-Occurring Therapist, specializing in working with individuals experiencing both addiction and mental health concerns. I am licensed in the State of Montana as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC). I also hold a Master's Certification in Hypnotherapy (CHt). I am a Certified EMDR Therapist and have found EMDR to be an effective approach for addressing trauma, addiction, and other difficult life experiences. My approach to therapy is compassionate, empathetic, and client-centered. This means that therapy is about you. You are an active participant in your healing, and you have the opportunity to determine the direction and pace of your work. I encourage clients to ask questions, explore their options, and make informed decisions about how they want to move forward. I have provided Life Coaching for individuals who have made progress in recovery from addiction or mental health challenges and are ready to continue creating positive changes in their lives. Sometimes, reaching a place of stability is just the beginning of discovering what is possible next. As a Lyme-Literate Therapist and Coach, I understand the unique challenges and frustrations that can accompany Lyme disease and associated co-infections. Having walked my own healing journey, I understand how difficult and isolating the process can be. I believe that hope is an important part of the healing journey, and I offer compassionate support to those navigating the physical, emotional, and personal challenges associated with Lyme disease. Since 1998, I have also provided Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) services, including the various aspects of the Department of Transportation (DOT) Return-to-Duty process following a violation of DOT drug and alcohol testing regulations. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where you can be heard, understood, and respected while working toward the changes you want to make in your life.
