Dejerica is passionate about being a listener first, maintaining open dialogue and helping you explore your own personal goals. Dejerica offers a warm nonjudgmental approach that encompasses empathy and compassion. Dejerica takes a person-centered approach while also utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, play therapy and other evidence-based techniques. Her practice specializes in treating individuals, children and adolescents, couples and families. Dejerica is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia and North Carolina and has worked in the mental health field for the past 5 years. Dejerica holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree in Social Work from University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNC-G), and a Master of Social Work Degree from University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC). Dejerica is certified in Triple P Positive Parenting as a provider where she provides parents of children up to 12 years, with techniques to address behavioral and emotional problems in children and teenagers. Triple P aims to prevent problems in the family, school and community before they arise. Dejerica also has 4 years of medical social work experience as it relates to children and adults with chronic medical conditions. Life isn’t always easy.
