Introduction

I am Demeka Underwood, PMHNP‑BC, DHA, a board‑certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner currently accepting new outpatient and telehealth patients ages 12 to 100. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and individualized treatment plans for adolescents, adults, and older adults. My clinical focus includes the diagnosis and management of ADHD, and I specialize in helping individuals obtain appropriate school accommodations to support academic success. I also offer guidance and documentation for emotional support animals when clinically appropriate. My approach is patient‑centered, collaborative, and grounded in evidence‑based practice to support meaningful and sustainable mental health improvement.
