Hello, my name is Deneen, and I am a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW) in Michigan with a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work and over 18 years of experience in the field of mental health, aging, children and trauma-informed care. I began my career working with individuals across the lifespan in community mental health and clinical settings, with a strong focus on supporting older adults, families, children, and individuals navigating complex emotional and medical challenges. Over time, my work has expanded to include trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions, as well as supporting clients managing chronic health conditions and caregiver stress. My approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care. I also integrate strengths-based and person-centered methods to meet clients where they are and help them move toward realistic, meaningful goals. I specialize in working with anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, chronic illness adjustment, and geriatric mental health. I also have extensive experience supporting individuals and families through complex life transitions and emotional overwhelm.
