Introduction

Denise Tatum obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and her second Bachelor’s in Childhood and Family Studies from Kansas State University. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California in 2016. Denise hopes to grow her private practice and bring more mental health awareness to urban and high-risk communities. Denise is passionate about working with parents of adolescents and youth. She is also passionate about understanding the impact of trauma, generational cycles, and family patterns. Denise has an extensive background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Informed Therapy. She also has experience with anxiety and depression as well as Family and Couples Therapy. In her spare time, Denise enjoys spending time with her family and working out.
