Introduction

Denita Binion, M.Ed., LPC-A, is a mental health therapist with extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and families across school-based, community mental health, and clinical settings. With nearly 30 years of experience working with children and families, she brings a compassionate, structured, and strengths-based approach to therapy. Denita believes that behavior often communicates needs and emotions that children and adolescents may not yet have the words or skills to express. Her therapeutic approach focuses on creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can better understand themselves, develop practical coping and communication skills, strengthen relationships, and build confidence in their ability to manage life's challenges. She utilizes evidence-based interventions while adapting therapy to each client's developmental level, personality, strengths, and individual needs. Sessions may incorporate conversation, therapeutic games and activities, creative expression, mindfulness, and skills practice to make treatment both clinically purposeful and engaging
