Introduction

Hi, I’m Derek Martz, an EMDR Therapist. I deeply value collaborative, caring, approachable therapeutic work with my clients. I specialize in helping adults cope with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational issues. I am EMDR-trained through the EMDR Institute, and I studied counseling at DePaul University. I am particularly passionate about ensuring men and LGBTQIA+ folx have access to mental health professionals who understand their experiences. My goal is to provide all of my clients a non-judgmental, compassionate space to express, explore, and better understand their emotions, learn skills for coping with what’s difficult, and achieve growth towards a satisfying and fulfilling life of authenticity and balance. I’m glad you’re taking steps towards healing and growth, and it would be my honor to walk that path with you, whether in person or online.
