Introduction

With almost 20 years as a clinical therapist and nearing 25 years of military service, I have a unique understanding of the challenges faced by veterans, first responders, and their families. I often say that the goal of therapy is to get better, and my clients tell me that they appreciate my friendly yet direct approach. Outside of my private practice, I frequently speak on mental health issues, teach at the graduate level, and serve in leadership positions within the National Guard. My goal as a therapist is to help clients move through difficult situations and make changes in their lives that contribute positively to their health. While I am a certified complex trauma therapist and specialize in treating combat related PTSD, I have also helped clients struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and infidelity. As a coach, I help clients to achieve personal goals such as losing weight or managing anger. After meeting with clients for the first time, we work together to identify reasonable goals and develop a plan so that we have clear direction moving forward. My results driven approach works well for those who are ready to make life changes. I typically see new clients on Saturday mornings, but I have early morning, afternoon, and evening availability throughout the week for returning clients. New clients can request an appointment online. If you require further assistance, please call or text the office at 616-450-2284, and Sarah will be happy to assist you.
