Hello there, I'm Destin. I've known suffering. I know the deep grief of loss and trauma. I know the fear of abandonment that coexists with the fear of being truly known. I've experienced doubt and anxiety that made me want to isolate. I've done (and am still doing) the work of learning to love myself and others with an open heart. This work never really ends, right? It's been quite a journey! It's a journey I hold with such gratitude because it has led me here...to a career that feels more like a calling, where I get the honor of sitting with others on their journey. Every emotion and every version of you will be welcomed and valued by me. Professionally, I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, with a background in Occupational Therapy. I feel this gives me a unique knowledge of how the body, brain, and emotions all work together to help us grow. I am trained in Interpersonal Neurobiology, which utilizes the science of connection to foster self-acceptance and healing. I am passionate about working with adult men and women struggling with grief, anxiety, trauma, spiritual deconstruction, life transitions, and caregivers of people with medical needs. I believe creating a strong therapeutic relationship is a foundational piece of the counseling process.
