Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life. My name is Destiny, and I hope you are proud of yourself for choosing to prioritize your mental health. Just by being present on this website, you’ve already taken a powerful first step toward healing and growth. At Anew Therapy and Wellness in Las Vegas, I offer individual therapy, family therapy, and couples therapy for adults ages 18 and up from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and identities. I’m a Las Vegas based therapist who brings a warm, encouraging, and collaborative energy to therapy. I give just enough of a motivational push to keep you going, while always honoring your pace. Whether you’re navigating stress, anxiety, depression, grief, family conflict, a lack of support, or difficult life transitions, I’m here to provide a safe space for you to feel seen and supported. I also work with clients living with chronic illnesses such as HIV/AIDS, those adjusting to life after incarceration, and individuals from the LGBTQIA+ community. Therapy with me is about helping you live your version of a fulfilling life—whatever that looks like for you. I’m passionate about supporting clients through real-life struggles, not from a place of judgment or “fixing,” but from a place of mutual respect and honest support. I’m not here to tell you what to do. A common misconception is that therapists give advice and have all the answers. The truth is: I don’t have your answers—but I’ll help you uncover them. Together, we’ll process what’s happening, explore what’s getting in the way, and build skills that empower you to cope and thrive. I have experience working with adults on the autism spectrum (Asperger’s / high-functioning autism), individuals navigating life changes or a lack of support, people facing identity challenges, and those managing chronic stress, burnout, or caregiving responsibilities. If you’ve ever felt stuck, overwhelmed, or like you’re carrying it all alone, you don’t have to anymore. I want to help you move forward with clarity, confidence, and compassion. My approach is primarily rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Strengths-Based techniques. These evidence-based practices help clients take control of unhelpful thought patterns, identify strengths, and make meaningful changes in both mindset and behavior. I’ll help you focus on the present, while building a future that feels hopeful and self-defined. Above all, I treat you like a person first—your struggles are only part of the story. You are allowed to be a work in progress and still be worthy of care, joy, and peace. This is your experience, and I’m honored to walk alongside you as we uncover the best version of you. To make therapy more accessible, I now offer a limited number of sliding scale sessions for clients in Nevada who may not have health insurance or are facing financial difficulties. If affordability is a concern, please reach out to see if you qualify for one of these income-based lower-cost therapy slots. My practice is 100% self pay based. This means that I do not accept any insurance at this time. Self pay is a fantastic option for those who do not have health insurance or even those who do have health insurance but prefer not to use it for their mental health care. Choosing self-pay therapy can offer more flexibility, privacy, and control over your care—whether or not you have insurance. Self-pay clients benefit from increased confidentiality, the ability to set their own therapy goals and pace, no limits on the number of sessions, easier access without insurance approvals, and more personalized, in-depth care tailored specifically to their needs. If you’re looking for a therapist in Nevada who will truly see you, meet you where you are, and help you grow with purpose and authenticity—let’s get started. You’ve already made it this far. Let’s do the rest together.
