Introduction

Counseling with me is centered around Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). Under this framework, I will seek to help you better understand certain thoughts, actions. and behaviors that are detrimental and inhibiting are tied to and caused by lifestyle choices, attitudes, and non-religious beliefs. My goal will be to help you understand negative and skewed thoughts or perceptions of distressing events and encounters by approaching them from a different angle in a more positive and beneficial light. Through this counseling relationship, you should be able to learn to manage the things that you can control and adapt to the things that you cannot in a healthy and rational way without negativity. I have over 8 years of experience helping adults, teens, and families with a variety of problems ranging from crisis, suicidal ideation, and many more. My experience in numerous community based programs provide excellent resource connection and experience with navigating difficult periods in life.
