Introduction

I have been a therapist for 20 years working in a myriad of settings. I began Oak Family Counseling in 2014 to provide high quality, evidence-based care to those in the state of NC. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults (15-40yo) who have experienced trauma, whether that is a single episode or complex episodes. I also have expertise in working with those experiencing depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, and phase of life changes/transitions. I am a National Certified Counselor, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor, a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider, and a Board Certified Tele-Mental Health Provider. I have been trained in a variety of modalities to ensure my clients are receiving the best approaches to their treatment. I only provide tele-mental health services using a HIPAA certified electronic platform. My clients love the ability to schedule/reschedule/cancel sessions, pay their bill, message me in between sessions, send documents/paperwork, and join a session all under their patient portal. It is user-friendly, convenient, and no more transportation issues. I do not accept any form of insurance as I found myself spending more time on hold with the insurance companies than I was providing services. I do provide a monthly superbill to my clients (parent/guardian) which they are able to submit to their insurance provider for out of network reimbursement.
