Dion holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Chico and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. She has completed specialized training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), approaches that inform her relational, attachment-based, and insight-oriented work with clients. Originally from Los Angeles and the oldest of four children, Dion brings warmth, cultural awareness, and a grounded perspective to her work. As a military spouse of an active duty service member currently stationed in Spain, she understands the unique challenges that come with major life transitions, identity shifts, and building stability in unfamiliar environments. Dion has worked in community mental health as well as the nonprofit sector, where she supported individuals navigating complex emotional and relational challenges. She specializes women’s health, with a special passion for those navigating infertility, birth trauma, PMADs (perinatal mood and anxiety disorders), pregnancy/infant loss, and the emotional weight of self-criticism and perfectionism. Dion is currently purusing her PMH-C (Perinata Mental Health Certification.) Many of her clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by life transitions, relationship challenges, people-pleasing patterns, or the quiet grief that can accompany reproductive struggles. She believes women deserve meaningful support during these experiences, especially in a culture that often encourages them to move on, stay strong, or simply try again. Dion intentionally creates a space where women can slow down, process their experiences fully, and feel deeply understood in ways they may not have previously experienced. Her therapeutic style is direct, compassionate, and collaborative. She integrates thoughtful humor with deeper emotional exploration, helping clients understand how past experiences shape current emotional patterns and relationships. Through this work, clients develop greater self-compassion, clarity, and a stronger connection to themselves. Dion’s goal is to help clients heal past wounds, understand themselves more fully, and move forward into new chapters of life feeling more grounded, whole, and connected to who they are becoming. Dion currently lives in Spain with her husband, their two dogs, and two cats. Outside of therapy, she enjoys reading romance novels, traveling, working out, and prioritizing her own personal growth through therapy.
