Most of my clients simply call me Dr. Don - and I'm glad to meet you! I decided to be a psychologist in my college years, and this has been my entire career! Fortunately for my ADHD there are many ways to make a living as a psychologist! And I have had many professional roles to satisfy my hunger for adventure and my commitment to being a life-long learner. My first specialty out of graduate school was in family psychology and I countinue to do a lot of marital and family therapy. Consistent with that orientation I have learned several different techniques for individual therapy that focus around relationships - whether it be relationships between the parts of yourself, how depression and anxiety interplay with relationships in our lives, or whether it is your relationship with God. I have always practiced integrating the best of psychology with a Christian worldview, and believe that it is only ethical to pay attention to a person's spiritual needs as much as to their emotional, intellectual, physical, and relationship needs. My overarching goal as a psychologist is to utilize my relationship with you to leave you at least a little more joyful and at peace with yourself by the time we say goodbye!.
