I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a previously Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) in the state of Idaho. I began my career in 1999 as an outreach coordinator for a perinatal substance use disorder program serving addicted mothers and their children. In 2004, I earned a CAADAC certification and LAADAC licensure in California. I collaborated with law enforcement to develop the CHOICES program through the Sutter County Probation Department, providing services to criminal offenders with the goal of addressing addictive behaviors and reducing recidivism. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Social Science from the University of Wyoming in 2017, where I received the Outstanding Non-Traditional Student of the Northwest Region award in recognition of my academic achievements and the coveted Eidelweiss Scholarship. I earned a Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from Montana State University Billings in 2021. After relocating to Idaho, I obtained an LPC license and continued to expand my clinical expertise working with individuals, couples, and families in private practice. Supporting clients while they challenge negative thought patterns, build self-esteem, and learn to manage unhealthy symptoms is my strength. These techniques create self-acceptance, independence, and an ability to enjoy life rather than endure it. The reality of a well-adjusted future is part of the process.
