I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing therapy and medication management for individuals ages 13 and older. My approach is warm, compassionate, and individualized, incorporating evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care. I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. My background includes extensive work in trauma, mental health advocacy, and supporting survivors of trafficking and incarcerated women. I also teach in the graduate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program at UMass Amherst. I hold a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, an MSN from Widener University, and a post-master’s certificate in psychiatric nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. I speak Portuguese and bring international experience that enhances my ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes.
