Life is a series of transitions, from our first breath to our last, and these changes rarely come without an emotional reaction. Sometimes we step back and realize we've lost our spark, or we simply need support in the next stage of our journey. In looking for that support, you've already taken a courageous first step. I'm Dr. Adam Clark, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Doctorate of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and 15 years of clinical experience across Oregon and Colorado. I've taught graduate social work for a decade and am a board-approved clinical supervisor. My work always stems from a strengths-based perspective, because you are the expert on yourself. Sometimes we simply need outside support to work through difficult situations and challenging seasons of life. I practice from a multimodal, post-modern framework grounded in humanistic, strengths-based, and feminist values. That means blending tools from approaches like CBT, DBT, IFS, Gestalt, and Motivational Interviewing to fit you, rather than fitting you to a method. There's no "one-size-fits-all" in therapy, so each person's treatment is tailored to their needs. Expect sessions that feel genuine and unhurried, where we move at your pace and your goals lead the way. Taking the first step can feel daunting, and reaching out doesn't commit you to anything. Contact me to ask questions, talk through what you're looking for, or schedule a first appointment. I'd be honored to support you.
