Not Currently Accepting New Clients. However, my team of outstanding health psychologists who share my specialty are-I'm an NIH-trained Clinical Health Psychologist with expertise in teens, adults, and couples navigating the complex challenges of chronic and acute illness, pain, and caregiving. I am the Supervising Psychologist and Director at the National Center for Health Psychology and for the last 10 years, I have worked exclusively with individuals (and caregivers/spouses) across all stages of cancer, diseases & illnesses (such as MS, ALS, POTS, Crohn's, EDS, Dysautonomia), and chronic pain syndromes. I am deeply committed to helping my clients and their loved ones reclaim a sense of purpose in their lives. Collaborative and experiential, my approach blends ancient Eastern mindfulness practices with modern, evidence-based treatments like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy, and MBSR. Most importantly, I use humor and playfulness to help my clients break free from the grip of pain and rediscover meaning and vitality. I genuinely believe that therapy works best when there’s a meaningful connection between the client, therapist, and approach. To help you explore whether we’re the right match, I offer a free 15-minute consultation. If it turns out I’m not the best fit for your needs, I’m happy to connect you with someone from my amazing network of exceptional practitioners.
