Introduction

The Essential Piece in Comprehensive Healthcare At Piece by Piece, we believe effective healthcare requires understanding how the brain impacts thinking, emotions, and behavior. That’s where we fill a critical gap. A neuropsychological evaluation helps complete the picture of care by uncovering the complex relationship between the brain and behavior. Through testing, we evaluate key areas of brain function such as attention, memory, executive functioning (planning, organization, problem-solving), language, visual-spatial skills, motor skills, and general intelligence. These insights allow us to identify strengths and weaknesses, clarify diagnoses, and guide personalized treatment recommendations. Neuropsychological Evaluations Explore learning and memory, reasoning, executive skills, concentration, processing speed, mood/personality and more to provide insight into cognitive well-being and/or answer specific referral questions. Therapy and Counseling Empirically supported treatments tailored to client needs which may include but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure response prevention (ERP), person centered therapy, family systems and parent training. *We are currently accepting new therapy clients Psychological Assessments Explore mood and personality through a structured interview, interactive tests and rating forms. Autism Assessments Targeted evaluation to assess cognitive and social-emotional functioning as it relates to the presence of autism. Care Coordination With your permission, we provide results to doctors and therapists and consult with referring providers. Our team can also collaborate with schools to help develop treatment plans (e.g., attending IEP/504 meetings). Consultations Consultations are available in cases where testing may not be needed, but treatment planning and guidance are requested. These typically last about an hour and are comprised of record review and data collection if needed, followed by a meeting with the doctor to discuss conclusions. Virtual/Telehealth Neuropsychological Evaluations Telehealth sessions for clinical interview, testing and feedback are offered for adults with referral questions regarding psychiatric concerns, ADHD or ASD. Provided by Tiana Kent, Psy.D., this flexible option is great for working adults.
