Introduction

WHO DO I HELP? Do you ever feel anxious, overwhelmed by work, or shaken by a traumatic event? Do you put others first and struggle to take care of yourself? Are you stuck repeating problematic relationship patterns? I help executives, healthcare professionals, first responders, and community members like you enhance their mental wellness with proven tools and supportive therapy. By focusing on reducing symptoms, building skills, and targeting core underlying causes, my clients recover from stressful events and build lasting change in their lives. Whether you are facing work stress, relationship concerns, traumatic stress, parenting difficulties, or simply want to enhance your mental wellness, I can provide expert therapeutic support with individual therapy or parenting support / coaching. In addition, I also provide trainings, clinical supervision, consultation and program development services. See below for a list of my services and specialities. HOW DO I HELP? If you are looking to build your resiliency, create meaningful connections with people in your life, and finally tackle those unresolved issues, I can help. I am a seasoned, skilled, and supportive psychologist with 20 years of experience treating traumatic stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns and more. I earned my PhD in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in marriage and family issues from an APA-accredited program at University of North Texas. This rigorous training program equipped me with evidenced-based practices for mental wellness that include a focus on building healthy systems of support that sustain and refuel us. By integrating Family Systems Theory, Attachment Theory, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I utilize a holistic lens in understanding underlying causes of distress and provide concrete tools that pave the way to happiness and fulfillment. I partner with you to ensure a culturally sensitive environment, alignment of treatment goals, and treatment that is feedback informed. My clients often describe my style of therapy as warm, comfortable, interactive/conversational, and balanced with a blend of support, direct feedback, and skill building. WHAT ARE MY QUALIFICATIONS TO HELP? I am a Licensed Psychologist in both Colorado (PSY.0003749) and California (PSY35122) and also have the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT #5799) granted by the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT). As such, I offer Telehealth in 43+ states (see www.psypact.org for list). I hold a PhD (and Master of Arts) in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in marriage and family issues from an APA-accredited program at the University of North Texas. I completed an APA-accredited predoctoral internship at Community Reach Center and went on to co-found and direct Reaching HOPE, a nonprofit specializing in trauma recovery for families. I have testified as an expert witness in domestic violence for Colorado courts and served on multidisciplinary Sexual Assault Task Forces. I provided trauma trainings and program development assistance for departments of Human Services, law enforcement agencies, nonprofit victim service agencies, and crisis clinics. I am certified in Trauma-Focused CBT, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy for Traumatized Children, and have received advanced training in many additional evidenced based trauma treatments including Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Written Exposure Therapy, Integrated Treatment for Complex Trauma, and Attachment based therapy. As a member of the Colorado Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association, I uphold rigorous ethical standards in my practice. WHERE HAVE I HELPED?
