Introduction

Welcome — I’m Dr. Kwajalin Brown-Murray, founder and principal clinician of Compass Rose Behavioral Health. Compass Rose was created out of a simple but powerful belief: people deserve therapy that is thoughtful, skilled, and genuinely centered on who they are — not just what they’re struggling with. I’ve spent my career working with children, adults, families, and professionals navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, chronic stress, identity challenges, neurodiversity, and complex emotional and relational concerns. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted on the inside — and they’re ready for something to truly change. My approach is practical, compassionate, and deeply respectful of your lived experience. I don’t believe in “one-size-fits-all” therapy. Instead, we work together to understand patterns, build skills, and create real, sustainable shifts in how you think, feel, and live. Compass Rose Behavioral Health specializes in: Anxiety, stress, and burnout Trauma and complex trauma Life transitions and identity concerns Neurodivergence and ADHD Mood disorders and emotional regulation High-achieving professionals under chronic pressure Whether you’re coming to therapy for healing, clarity, stability, or growth, my goal is for you to leave with more than insight — I want you to leave with tools, direction, and a renewed sense of control over your life. Compass Rose Behavioral Health is a fully virtual practice serving clients in Alabama and New Jersey, designed to make high-quality, thoughtful mental health care accessible, structured, and effective.
