Introduction

This practice exists because too many high-achieving women of color are left without culturally responsive mental health care once they “make it.” When women of color gain education, careers, and status especially after leaving familiar communities they often lose access to spaces where they can fully be themselves. Here, you are not required to explain your culture, minimize your experiences, or perform professionalism at the expense of your wellbeing. Who We Serve We specialize in working with high-achieving women of color from diverse cultural backgrounds who are navigating: Burnout and chronic stress High-functioning anxiety Survivor’s remorse and guilt Boundary fatigue and over-responsibility Identity loss after success or relocation Relationship strain and emotional isolation Sleep and energy Emotional clarity Boundaries with work, family, and relationships Confidence and focus Anxiety Many of the women I work with are strong, capable, and accomplished. They have careers, leadership roles, and responsibility but feel disconnected from community, culture, or themselves. This practice was intentionally created as a safe, affirming space for high-achieving women of color to receive culturally attuned, trauma-informed care without code-switching, over-explaining, or self-abandoning. About Dr. C Dr. Candace Elaine is a psychologist providing culturally attuned, trauma-informed therapy for high-achieving women of color. Her work centers on supporting women who are outwardly successful yet internally carrying burnout, chronic stress, and emotional fatigue. Drawing from both clinical expertise and lived experience, Dr. C understands the unique challenges women of color face as they navigate success, cultural displacement, and environments where they may feel unseen or required to adapt to belong. Many of the women she serves are leaders and caretakers who have spent years being “the strong one” while neglecting their own emotional needs. This practice was intentionally created as a safe, affirming space where women of color can heal without code-switching, over-explaining, or watering themselves down. Dr. C approach integrates nervous system regulation, trauma recovery, and culturally responsive care to support sustainable healing and self-trust. “I built this space because women deserve more than just coping. They deserve to be whole.” — Dr. C
