Introduction

The world we live in is complex. If you’re someone who leads, supports others, or simply carries a lot—emotionally, mentally, or relationally—it’s understandable to reach moments when clarity fades and deeper support is needed. Therapy is not a last resort. It’s a wise investment in yourself. This is a space for thoughtful, capable people who are ready to explore what’s beneath the surface. Whether you’re navigating professional pressure, personal patterns that won’t quite shift, or a general sense that things could feel more aligned—I offer a space for reflection, recalibration, and change. How We Work Together I use Schema Therapy, a powerful and evidence-based approach that helps identify core patterns formed early in life—often invisible drivers of behavior, relationships, and self-concept. Together, we’ll uncover the survival strategies that once protected you but may now be holding you back, and build new ways of moving through the world with more freedom and ease. This work blends insight and integration—supporting you in connecting the dots and making lasting change that aligns with your values, your leadership, and your life. You Might Be Feeling: -Frustrated by repeating relationship dynamics or emotional patterns -Pressured to hold it all together, but sensing burnout or disconnection -Aware of your strengths but unsure how to move through your stuck points -Hungry for more meaning, depth, or emotional clarity -Successful on the outside, but unsure how to find peace within It’s common to develop coping strategies—like drinking, pornography, emotional withdrawal, irritability, cynicism, or despair—as a way to survive anxiety, confusion, and emotional pain. These responses are not signs of failure; they are the body and mind’s best attempt at protection—until healing becomes possible. What You Can Expect This is a confidential, grounded, and judgment-free space. We’ll work collaboratively and with care. My role is not to fix you—but to walk with you as you uncover what’s no longer working, and access the internal resources and wisdom to create something new. This therapy is especially supportive for people in leadership, caregiving, or change-making roles. But more than anything, it’s for anyone ready to feel more free, connected, and whole. About Me Dr. Colleen Struhar LaTendresse, PhD, LPC Therapist • Consultant • Confidant to Leaders I am a licensed therapist, international psychologist, and chaplain with more than two decades of experience supporting individuals and systems through transformation. My clinical training includes a PhD in International Psychology with a focus on leadership and identity development, a Master’s in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in addictions, and four units of Clinical Pastoral Education served in trauma, emergency, and oncology units. Throughout my career, I’ve worked on five continents in roles ranging from therapist and chaplain to organizational ombuds and leadership consultant. What has remained constant is this: I am drawn to people who carry great responsibility—and often, invisible weight. Executives, caregivers, visionaries, and bridge-builders. Those who think deeply, feel intensely, and lead with integrity, even when they’re struggling. My practice is grounded in Schema Therapy, an evidence-based method for helping people shift long-standing patterns at the root—not just the surface. This work is not about pathology. It’s about integrating survival strategies, healing emotional wounds, and restoring access to your innate clarity and power. Clients come to me when they’re ready to move beyond over-functioning and into more meaningful presence—at work, in relationships, and within themselves. This is private work. Thoughtful work. Work that respects complexity and honors your wisdom. If you are someone others rely on—and you’re seeking a space where you can be seen, supported, and strengthened—you are invited to reach out to me directly to explore working together.
