Introduction

My name is Dr. Courtney Dunne (she/her/hers), and I am a licensed psychologist in Northern Colorado. I'm accepting new clients and have sliding scale availability. For the past 13 years, I have worked in the mental health field and feel deeply grateful to support people through healing, growth, change, and new beginnings. I offer individual therapy, coaching, and skill-building for adults navigating transitions and evolving in different areas of their lives. My experience includes work in college counseling centers, community mental health clinics, hospitals and primary care settings, and residential treatment. Before moving to Colorado to pursue my doctorate, I practiced as a mental health counselor in Massachusetts. My therapeutic style is relational and collaborative, while also incorporating practical strategies to reduce distress, increase self-awareness, and strengthen connection with yourself and others. I draw from approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Harm Reduction. I work with a wide range of mental health concerns and have particular experience supporting individuals navigating substance use concerns, ADHD and neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, and identity exploration and development. Many of the people I work with are managing stress across multiple areas of life, and I strongly value collaborating to determine what feels most important in our work together. I believe therapy can offer a meaningful space for connection, reflection, and growth, though it is rarely an easy process. As social beings, we are meant to heal in community, yet are often taught to do it alone. I would be honored to sit with you in the messiness of being human, and I look forward to hearing your story.
