Introduction

Welcome! I’m Dr. Destiny Novakovic, a licensed psychologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Professor at The Ohio State University. I have years of experience supporting children and young adults with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional concerns. My passion is helping students with school adjustment and providing comprehensive psychological evaluations, including assessments for ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, and autism. Transitions are rarely smooth. Academic pressure, shifting friendships, identity development, mood changes, and constant performance demands can quietly pile up. I help middle school, high school, and college students cut through the noise by building routines, confidence, motivation, emotional regulation, and coping skills that actually translate to daily life. Many of my clients come to me struggling with friendships, stress, focus, or burnout, or wondering whether anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, autism, or something else is getting in the way. My work includes therapy and comprehensive psychological evaluations grounded in clear communication, structure, and practical strategies. When evaluations are part of care, students and families receive thorough, easy to understand reports and support with next steps, including school and workplace accommodations when appropriate. This is collaborative, goal focused work that builds on strengths and leads to meaningful, lasting change. School can feel heavy, isolating, and relentless, but you do not have to figure it out alone. If you are navigating academic pressure, social challenges, or major transitions, I offer a steady, supportive space to gain clarity and move forward with confidence.
