I am a clinical psychologist who specializes in working with teens and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress, and challenges managing overwhelming emotions. Adolescence and young adulthood are periods of significant change, both for individuals and their families. Therapy can be helpful for supporting your growth and navigating challenges that may arise during these life stages. It’s important to me that therapy feels approachable, meaningful, and useful to you—a space where you feel understood and where you can learn skills to help manage stress, strengthen relationships, and feel more satisfied in the different areas of your life. My approach is down-to-earth, welcoming, and highly collaborative. I earned my doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families in inpatient, outpatient, school, and medical settings. My therapeutic approach is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). I also offer cognitive processing therapy (CPT), a short-term form of CBT specifically developed for posttraumatic stress disorder. Both in-person and telehealth appointments are available.
