Hi, I’m Dr. Gently Ang, a clinical psychologist who has been providing psychotherapy who has been providing psychotherapy for more than 20 years. People often come to me after experiencing childhood trauma, difficult or painful relationships, chronic stress, or major life transitions. Some are struggling with depression or anxiety. Others appear to be functioning well but feel stuck—repeating relationship patterns, engaging in self-defeating behaviors, or living with in that space between who they are and who they want to become. My approach is relational, insight-oriented, and practical. I integrate psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral principles to help you understand how past experiences, relationship patterns, beliefs, and ways of coping continue to shape your present life. I pay close attention to how you relate to others, how you understand yourself, and how your personal story has been shaped by your emotions, personality, identity, relationships, and life circumstances. Life is messy. Relationships are complex. And you have a unique story. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your lived experience. I believe real change begins in the quality of our human connections. Together we work to understand how you got here and how to move you forward.
