I have a desire to understand your struggles, to facilitate an awareness of your own experience, to help you illuminate meaning in your life, and to reduce your suffering. My mission is to inspire others to achieve a worthwhile purpose and grow personally, professionally, emotionally and spiritually by using my own compassion, unique perspective, and belief in others’ inherent goodness and enormous potential. I am passionate about working with clients with addictions including eating disorders. I have done extensive postgraduate training in counseling and addictions through a series of courses, institutes, research, workshops and seminars. I have become an advocate for maternal mental health and hope to help people better understand postpartum depression. Although I use an eclectic and holistic approach to therapy I have been specifically trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT,) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT,) Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR,) and the Trauma Recovery and Empowerment Model. I hope to integrate mind, body and spirit with evidence-based approaches to assist you in finding your true positive potential and facilitate the deepening of your experiential awareness.
