Specialties: Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Adjustment Disorder, Abuse Survivors,

Introduction

Early in my education I was inspired to help children and adolescents address difficult challenges in their lives. During this first decade of my professional career my clinical work focused on research and treatment of victims of child sexual abuse and other complex traumatic events, including war trauma, violent crimes and severe neglect. This led to a deep clinical understanding and ability to work with complex cases of PTSD, mood disorders, behavioral and interpersonal problems. Now, almost 3 decades later, I have gained vast experience in providing counseling to individuals of all ages with PTSD, trauma, depression/bipolar disorder, anxiety, relationship and codependency concerns, conflict and anger management, low self-esteem and grief. I draw from EMDR (levels I & II), Trauma-Informed Care, CBT, DBT skills, Solution-Focused/Brief therapy, psychoeducation, Systems Therapy and emotional regulation as well as other eclectic techniques. My uniquely direct, open and honest approach to counseling has helped numerous clients achieve significant breakthroughs in their healing journey. I look forward to helping you on your journey.
