Introduction

I came to psychology through literature and an enduring interest in the inner life: what shapes us, what remains outside awareness, and why certain patterns persist despite intelligence, insight, and considerable effort. For more than 20 years, I have worked with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship difficulties, and entrenched patterns that have not shifted through previous therapy. My approach integrates psychoanalytic depth with somatic and neuropsychological perspectives. The work moves beyond symptom management to address the emotional and nervous-system patterns organizing a person’s experience, with the aim of creating meaningful and lasting change. My fee is $425 a session. I am an out-of-network, private-pay provider and offer courtesy billing— my office submits claims to your insurance on your behalf, and any reimbursement is paid directly to you. The practice is based in Los Angeles, with secure telehealth sessions available throughout California. Drkelleyvandewalle.com for more information.
