Introduction

Dr. Bruett is a clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience. She is an attending psychologist at Boston Children's Hospital, and a faculty member of Harvard Medical School. Previously, she was an associate clinical professor at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where she founded and directed the Eating Disorders Program at San Francisco General Hospital and co-led training programs in psychology and psychiatry. She is a faculty member of the Institute for Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders, and trains providers nationally and internationally in family-based treatment (FBT). In addition to eating disorders, she has specialized training in anxiety, OCD, trauma, and parent-based interventions, and loves supporting individuals through life transitions and relationship stressors. Dr. Bruett provides warm, compassionate, collaborative care that is backed by science. She has specialized training in cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, exposure and response prevention, family based treatment (certified provider), emotion focused family therapy, and other evidence-based practices. She provides care to individual of all backgrounds and identities. She is licensed in Massachusetts and California. Dr. Bruett graduated from Bowdoin College and earned her doctoral degree from Temple University, and completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University. She received clinical and research training at the NYU Child Study Center, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, McLean Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Bruett provides: -Evaluation and consultation -Therapy -Parent coaching -Training and consultation to clinicians and health systems -Training and education for parents and schools At this time, Dr. Bruett provides care via Telehealth only. In-person care in the Boston area may be available in the future. Dr. Bruett is an out-of-network provider. Rates are adjusted periodically, so please call to discuss current rate. Many health insurance policies provide coverage for out-of-network mental health services. However, you (not your insurance company) are responsible for full payment of fees. On request, Dr. Bruett will provide you with a monthly statement to submit to your health insurance provider or a health savings account. Depending on your plan, insurance companies may reimburse 20-80% of the session fee. Check with your health insurance plan prior to your first session to learn more.
