My journey in mental health began through music, teaching children in underserved communities and discovering early on that healing and creative expression are deeply connected. That insight continues to shape my work today. I hold a Bachelor's in Music Performance from Sacramento State, a Master's in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Expressive Arts Therapy from JFK University, and a Doctorate in Marriage & Family Therapy with a specialization in Child and Adolescent Therapy from National University (2024). With over 15 years of experience across nonprofits, schools, medical settings, and private practice, I work with youth, individuals, groups, intimate partners and moresomes, and families navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, blended family dynamics, self-harm, and life transitions. What drew me to this work: Supporting young people and families showed me how healing grows through connection, creativity, and understanding the bigger picture of someone's life. What to expect: I strive to create a supportive, collaborative space where you feel seen, heard, and respected. Sessions are personalized and may include conversation, creative exploration, and practical strategies to support your growth and whole-person wellbeing. Outside the therapy room: I'm a lifelong band geek, avid reader, true crime fan, and lifelong learner. I believe: "Healing and growth unfold through creativity and connection."
