Introduction

Welcome - I'm so glad you're here. I'm Dr. Marnee Firestone, Psy.D., a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in anxiety, life transitions, and the emotional challenges that can quietly make school, relationships, and everyday life feel overwhelming. I work with children, teens, college students, young adults, and the parents who support them. For more than 25 years, I have worked with young people and families across schools, hospitals, private practice, and community settings. Throughout that time, I've seen how anxiety, perfectionism, and emotional overwhelm can impact academics, confidence, and well-being -and I've seen how much is possible when the right support is in place. My approach is warm, collaborative, and evidence-based. I tailor treatment to each client's unique needs, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and other proven approaches. My goal is not only to help you feel better now, but to equip you with practical, lasting skills that build resilience and confidence well beyond our work together. I specialize in working with: • Anxiety and excessive worry • School avoidance and academic stress • Perfectionism and high-achieving students • Social anxiety • Life transitions and college adjustment • Executive functioning and emotional regulation • Self-esteem and confidence • Parenting children and teens with anxiety When working with children and adolescents, I believe parents are an essential part of the process. I partner closely with families to develop practical strategies that support progress at home, at school, and beyond — helping families break unhelpful cycles, strengthen communication, and create lasting positive change. I am a PsyPact-authorized provider, which means I can offer telehealth services to clients across 40+ participating states through the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT). Whether you are in Florida or elsewhere in the country, the same high standard of personalized, evidence-based care is available to you. Wherever you are in your journey, whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, my goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. Together, we will identify your strengths, work through the obstacles in your way, and build the tools you need to thrive. I look forward to working with you. Dr. Marnee Firestone, Psy.D.
