Introduction

1. What will the first appointment be like? I will welcome you to my practice and invite you to ask any questions about my training, experience, privacy, concerns you might have about coming to talk therapy. Importantly, I will provide you with a safe and private environment in which to talk. 2. What about the next appointments? Will I have to do all the talking? Talk therapy is a process in which two people talk. I will help you understand yourself and feel understood as the unique individual you are. 3. What kinds of things can you help me with? Some of the ways I can help include ways to stop the past from interfering with the present. I can help with changing recurring ways of coping that are not productive and perhaps self-sabotaging. The goal is to help you feel better and to lead the productive and creative life you desire.
