Introduction

I’m Dr. Tenisha Phillips, a licensed clinical professional counselor and wellness professional who believes therapy should be a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported—not judged. My journey into counseling grew from a passion for helping people navigate life’s challenges while recognizing their strengths, resilience, and capacity for meaningful change. I work with adults, couples, families, and communities experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and emotional wellness. I have a particular interest in helping clients who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves find clarity and develop practical tools for moving forward. My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and holistic. I don’t believe therapy is about simply “fixing” what is wrong; it is about understanding your experiences, identifying what you need, and creating strategies that support the life you want to build. My goal is for clients to leave therapy with greater self-awareness, confidence, healthier patterns, and a stronger sense of agency in their lives. If you’re ready to understand yourself more deeply and create meaningful change, I’d be honored to walk alongside you in that process.
