Dr. Yanet Vanegas is a Harvard Medical School’s McLean Hospital trained licensed psychologist. Dr. Vanegas’ approach to treatment is to build on your child’s coping skills to allow them to manage strong emotions and to thrive. Dr. Vanegas can help your child learn self-regulation strategies, social-emotional concepts, and executive functioning skills. She has been extensively trained in the use of ERP for OCD. Dr. Vanegas sees the parent-child relationship as an essential ingredient to treatment success. Her treatment approach aims to strengthen your relationship with your child and to create a “secure base”— a relationship that meets their essential emotional needs and that they can turn to as a safe haven.
