Introduction

Saludos, soy la Dra. Melanie Acevedo Vélez, Psicóloga Clínica (PsyD). Les doy la bienvenida a este espacio, donde ofrezco servicios de terapia individual y de pareja de manera virtual a personas que residan en Puerto Rico y que sean mayor de 18 años. Para que conozcan un poco de mi, obtuve mi doctorado en la Universidad Albizu, centro de Mayagüez. En mi experiencia clínica, he tenido la oportunidad de atender diversas poblaciones desde adolescentes a adultos mayores. También, he tenido la oportunidad de supervisar estudiantes de psicología en sus procesos de práctica y aprendizaje. Actualmente me encuentro especializándome en modelo Gottman para atender parejas con este estilo de terapia. Mi intención y misión es que puedan hacer de este espacio su lugar seguro, para mostrar sus vulnerabilidades y sentirse comprendidos. Me caracterizo por mi profesionalismo, empatía y respeto en el proceso. Deseo que su experiencia de terapia sea una donde puedan en sí mismo encontrar sus respuestas, reflexionar y adquirir las destrezas necesarias para fortalecer su bienestar emocional.
