II’m Dr. Scarlet Acosta, a Christian counselor, pastoral counselor, author, and educator. My approach is grounded in a B.A. in Education, Counseling, and Theology, an MSW from Temple University, an MS in Christian Counseling, and a PhD in Philosophy and Christian Psychology. I provide a compassionate, faith-informed space for adults, couples, families, and young people who are navigating anxiety, emotional challenges, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, life transitions, self-esteem, and personal growth. My approach integrates Christian counseling with person-centered, strengths-based, behavioral, and solution-focused perspectives. I believe meaningful change begins with understanding what is happening within us. My goal is to help each person gain greater clarity, recognize patterns, strengthen healthy relationships, make intentional choices, and move forward with greater purpose and self-awareness. For those who desire it, faith and spirituality can be an important part of the counseling process. My work respects each person’s story, values, beliefs, and pace of growth.
