My name is Shay Cecil, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from Missouri. I graduated from Saint Louis University with a Master’s in Social Work, specializing in mental health. In my clinical practice, I employ a client-centered approach rooted in systems theory, seamlessly integrating cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness techniques to cater to my clients' diverse needs. I have extensive experience across various settings, both inpatient and outpatient, where I have effectively addressed issues such as suicidality, trauma, depression, and anxiety. I also possess specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) as well as Integrative Treatment of Complex Trauma for Adolescents (ITCT). I also practice mindfulness, some Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), along with play therapy. Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, friends, and my dog, Chloe. I also love to dance, laugh, and serve my community.
