Introduction

Dr Dustin Sanchez is Vice Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at USC Keck School of Medicine. At Cottage Hospital, Dr. Sanchez provides patient care on the inpatient and consultation-liaison services and directs the consultation-liaison rotation for the Community Memorial Healthcare psychiatry residency program. He serves on the Medical Advisory Panel and is Chair of the Medical Staff Well-Being Committee. His clinical interests include mood disorders across the lifespan, psychotherapy, interventional psychiatry (TMS and ECT), and novel treatments in psychiatry including psychedelic psychotherapies. He has been involved in global mental health projects including development of trauma-focused therapies in Uganda and Zimbabwe. In addition to his hospital work, Dr. Sanchez sees children, adolescents. and adults in his outpatient practice.
